Ali Fedatovsky when deciding conducting dog radiation procedures for cancer
Former Bachelor Ali Fedatovsky She shares why her family decided to give Owen’s dog, radiate cancer treatment.
“Let’s start with this … Owen – a graduate of radiation treatment !!!!!” 40 -year -old Fedatovsky wrote through Instagram Friday, March 21. “I mean … this picture cannot be miserable. So I’m proud of it! Now in the story why we decided to radiation for our sweet older puppy!”
Fedalovsky shared that this was a “difficult decision” for “many reasons”, but explained that the choice “would include six vet visits”, where he will need to put under anesthesia every time.
“And, as you can see, he is very nervous about the vet,” said the Fedotov video that Owen cracked when she hugged him.
Fedalovsky explained that Owen could not do the procedures where they are in Nashville because there is “no radiation oncology for dogs” in the city.
“We heard that they would be next month, but unfortunately Owen would not have held potentially until next month when we were waiting,” Fedatovsky wrote, explaining that they went to Chatonug and stayed at a hotel comfortable for pets. “I treated him as a king, being there! He slept with me in a big comfortable bed … And ate a salmon and steak service. He even checked with me the Viskey Lounge Hotel. Everyone was so sweet!”
Fedalovsky noted that the trip was “not easy”, noting that it “take it out several times throughout the night to go to the bathroom or just get out of anxiety.” One night, Fedotovsky slept on the floor with Owen because he “really fought, and it broke (her) heart.”
“So why did we do it? Owen has a very large brain tumor and without treatment, his neurologist estimated that he had to live about a month. I couldn’t transfer that thought. I promised to do everything that depends on me,” she wrote. “So, after confirmed by the brain tumor from the MRI, our neurologist sent us to the radiation institution in Chatonuse. After conducting a ton of research and talking to the radiologist, we learned that doing one CT, and then 5 stereotic treatment of radiation therapy for 5 years! 2+ years! “
Fedalovsky noted that dogs should be under anesthesia to keep them “perfect” when MRI passes, CT -Improvement or radiation procedures – but the family thought “this short time was worth when we get so good time with it. Not only we need, but in fact it!”
“Yes, yes, it was difficult for him, but we wouldn’t make this decision if we didn’t think his short amount of anxiety and discomfort would be worthy for him,” Fedatovsky ordered a slide with the participation of Owen’s socks. “He looks like a little puppy at the boundaries of this treatment and his attacks, so I know that his good life is left to live!
While Fedalovsky noted that Owen’s brain cancer “cannot be healed with radiation,” she explained that hope “cut the tumor or just suppress its growth to give it extra time.”
“Although it ended with its procedures, the side effects can be felt for weeks or even in a few months, so we will continue to watch it closely,” she wrote.
Fedotowsky returned home with Owen On Friday, Nashville, sharing that her dog was “very sleepy” on the disk, and now “sleeps peacefully in his home with the people he loves most.”
“We do not know what exactly awaits the future for him. He is almost 12, and the grand attacks are part of his life (just hopefully less common) she added.” We will never take any moment for granted. “
Fedalovsky concluded that the week was “a lot” for his family “logistically, financial and emotional,” but noted: “Nothing that I will do for this sweet little guy.”
“It did this! Removal of the cancer (soft tissue of the sarcoma) on the leg, MRI, CT and 5 stereotic radiation!” Yes, it still has a brain tumor and always will. He will be on medication for the rest of his life to hope to manage his attacks. It shares what the future looks like for our sweet bud and why we did what they did above. Thank you for all love. So glad we’ll get home with the family where we belong. “
Fedatovsk shared on March 14 that Owen was diagnosed with a brain tumor asking her Instagram Followers “Please keep it in your heart this week.” A few weeks before, Fedotovsk shared update against her husband’s background Kevin Mano‘s Battle of papillary thyroid cancer. (The couple that linked the knot in 2017, share the daughter of Molly, 8 years old, and son of Riley, 6.)

“I am glad to report that the report on the pathology of the thyroid gland has returned negatively! It means that the cancer disappeared completely,” Fedatovsky wrote via Instagram on February 28. “Subsequently its surgeryThey took the thyroid gland to check it to make sure they got all the profitability. “
