A famous Japanese actor was kicked out of a non-alcoholic beer ad after he got drunk and entered his neighbor’s house.
A popular Japanese actor hired to be the healthy face of a non-alcoholic beer was fired after he broke into a neighbor’s house drunk, officials said.
Beverage giant Asahi Breweries commissioned what one fashion magazine called “national treasure-level handsome” Ryo Yoshizawa to advertise its 3.5 percent Super Dry Crystal beer.
But the 30-year-old, who is one of Japan’s most popular actors, returned home on December 30 having eaten something perhaps even stronger.
Yoshizawa was “drunk” and “accidentally entered an apartment room next to hers,” her talent agency said. To entertain it said in a statement on Monday.
“I lost my memories. I think I went in without asking because I wanted to use the bathroom,” Yoshizawa told police.
Asahi Group Holdings spokeswoman Shiori Shimizu told AFP on Tuesday that “we have decided to terminate our contract” with Yoshizawa.

“As a spirits company, we find his actions unacceptable,” Shimizu said. “We will not use it in our future advertisements.”
Yoshizawa apologized to his surprised neighbor for the “big problem” he caused, Amuse said, adding that the actor had already vacated the apartment.
