A child was hospitalized after being hit by a drone that was part of it on Saturday Orlando, Florida holiday drone show.
According to the Orlando Fire Department, a 7-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with injuries from the falling drones, FOX 35 in Orlando reports.
In a video posted online by X user MosquitoCoFl, hundreds of drones used as part of an aerial light show flew into place before crashing into the ground, before several began to fall from the sky.

The FAA told Fox News Digital that it will investigate the cause of the drone show malfunction.
“Several small drones collided and crashed into the crowd during a holiday show over Lake (Eola) in Orlando, Florida,” the FAA said. “The incident happened on Saturday, December 21 at around 18:45 local time.”
According to the agency, drone arrays and light shows are subject to FAA regulations and usually require a waiver of the rule that prohibits the operation of more than one drone at a time.
Every drone show looks to things like the FAA for their application software that controls dronesprocedures for establishing safe and restricted areas to keep people a safe distance from the show, procedures in case of drone failure, and procedures for aircraft getting too close to the show.

In addition, the FAA is reviewing how the operator will keep the drones in an enclosed area using Geofencing and whether the operator has enough people to run the show.
This is the second year the city of Orlando has used Sky Elements Drones as a vendor to operate the drones, the station reports.
Sky Elements Drones did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on the matter.
In a statement to Fox 35, the vendor said, “Sky Elements Drones would like to extend our sincere hope for a full and speedy recovery to those affected at our Lake Eola show in Orlando on Saturday, December 21st.
