A close-up look at the sleek Honda 0 SUV and sedan prototypes at CES 2025
Last year, Honda with 0-series sedan and Space-Hub. But now at CES 2025, these vehicles are moving one step closer to production, going from concepts to prototypes while getting updated names along the way: the Honda 0 Saloon and 0 SUV.
But while we wait for them to officially hit the roads sometime in 2026, I wanted to take a closer look at the evolved styling of Honda’s upcoming electric cars. Especially the 0 SUV, not only because it got a much bigger facelift, but let’s face it, that’s what we in the crossover-hungry US really want.
From the outside, the Honda 0 SUV looks like a mix between and on . It has a really minimalistic, almost spaceship-like design that eschews that teardrop shape you see in many other EV SUVs for something a little boxier. This gives you more headroom for rear seat passengers and tons of extra vertical cargo space in the back. The SUV’s pixelated headlights help reinforce its digital pedigree, while I think Honda did a much better job of trying to make the rear end clean and simple without coming across as a giant blank slate like the Ioniq 9.
The overall proportions of the 0 SUV almost make it look like a tall, raised station wagon, especially when sitting next to the 0 saloon. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Inside, Honda continues with the clean lines, although I wouldn’t necessarily read much into the general layout and look of the screens and dashboard. Like many pre-production cars, these details are subject to a lot of change before its design is properly finalized. The same goes for those side view cameras, which due to US law are not yet compliant. However, Honda’s streamlined cabin is in keeping with the company’s Thin, Light and Wise design philosophy, which includes moving to a drive-by-wire system instead of relying on more traditional physical connections.
But enough talk, let’s check out the cars.
