Pune: Woman confronts and slaps ‘drunk’ man for more than 26 times on bus for inappropriately touching her
A woman in Pune on Thursday bravely spoke out against harassment on a bus, slapping a man at least 26 times after he allegedly touched her inappropriately.
The drunken man reportedly ignored the woman’s repeated warnings and continued to harass her.Refusing to back down, she grabbed him by the collar and began slapping him several times, shocking those present with her bravery.
The victim, Priya Laskhare, a sports teacher from Shirdi, was traveling with her husband and child when the incident took place. Priya later dragged the accused to the police station near Shanivarwada, making sure that he would be held accountable for his actions.
In the video, the man is seen putting his hands together in an apologetic gesture, his face clearly expressing regret. However, Lashkare, undeterred by his remorse, gripped the collar with one hand and continued to slap more than 26. Moments later, the bus conductor stepped in to help Lashkare, also slapping the drunk man several times.
After some time, the man was escorted to the nearest police station. However, no officers were present when they arrived, and police reportedly arrived at the station about 30 minutes later.
