‘Water bills are down 50%’: Zerodha’s Nithin Kamath backs waterless urinal brand that got no deal on Shark Tank India 3
Nithin Kamath, founder and CEO of New Broking Froking Platform, recently doubled down on eroerodor, an aquatic diuretic that was featured in an episode of Shark Tank India.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kamath backed company founder Uttam Banerjee’s pitch.
“We have been using Zerodor for men’s urosals in our offices for the past six months. Our water bills are down 50%.
Kamath also mentioned that his company Rainmatter supports the enterprise.
According to Zamath’s half-year blog post, Zerodor is used by more than 700 organizations, including Indian Railways, government institutions, some large food and beverage chains, malls, defense and private enterprises.
Founded by Salin Joshi and Uttam Banerjee, Zerodor is featured in the Shark Tank India season.
The stadium also contained a specially designed urinal for women, which the founders said they were trying to provide CPR to the sanitary system, that is, Save, protect and restore with their products and solutions.
According to Kumar, the product was born after his marriage.He hailed from a small village in Jharkhand where there was no washroom, which also caused his wife not to visit his place.
The founders were investing 1 Crore for their company’s 3rd stake.Zerodor didn’t get any deals on demos because the “sharks” found several problems with the product.
Edelweiss Mutual Fund MD and CEO Radiika Gupta is not happy with the slow rate of profit growth, while Vineeta Singh questioned them after taking from an investor at the age of 2 and not being able to make a return in 7 years.
Lenskart’s Peyush Bansal made them an offer, but on the condition that Zerodor would make only one waterless urinal and hire a salesperson.The founders refused to take this offer, resulting in a deal.
