Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conducted a security assessment of the delay in receiving a list of hostages expected to be released Sunday morning as part of a ceasefire deal with Hamas.
Netanyahu told the Israel Defense Forces that a cease-fire would not begin until the list of hostages expected to be released by Israel.
The agreement is scheduled to take effect on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. local timeHamas said it will present a list of hostages.
Hamas said the delay in releasing the names was due to “technical reasons”, adding that it was committed to the ceasefire agreement announced last week.

Israeli Cabinet of Ministers It approved a cease-fire agreement with Hamas early Saturday morning, which would free dozens of hostages in Gaza and end the war that began after the terrorist group attacked the Jewish State on October 7, 2023.
The deal will allow for the release of 33 hostages over the next six weeks in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians arrested by Israel. The rest of the hostages are scheduled to be released in the second phase, which will be negotiated in the first phase.
Hamas agreed to release three female hostages on the first day of the deal, four on the seventh day, and the remaining 26 women within the next five weeks.

Hamas has said it will not release the remaining hostages without a long-term ceasefire and a full Israeli withdrawal.
This is the second ceasefire reached during the war.
Gaza is expected to achieve an increase in humanitarian aid when the ceasefire begins.
