Nicky Glazer brought her trademark wit to Golden Globe 2025 on stage delivering a monologue filled with punchy one-liners aimed at Hollywood’s biggest names. However, the comedian recently revealed that not all of her jokes made it to air, including a particularly scathing quip about Ben Afflecklove life.

Appearing on The Howard Stern Show after her well-received performance at the Golden Globes, Glazer shared one of the jokes that ended up being cut from her opening monologue.

“(I almost said), like, ‘Shall I fry or toast?’ You know what? I don’t fry. I’ll be toasting,’” Glaser recalled. “And I was just making all these toasts that were fried. Like, “Here’s to Ben Affleck, I can’t wait to see which Jennifer you try to screw up next.”

The comedian admitted to debating the impact of the joke, explaining: “And I argued, ‘Oh, I didn’t say spoil them. I said he was trying to ruin them, so it’s not against them.’ But I thought, “That would be crazy.”

Affleck’s romance has, of course, been widely publicized. He got married Jennifer Garner in 2005 before their eventual split in 2015. He later resumed his affair with his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez in 2021 and they tied the knot in 2022.

Although Affleck’s romance didn’t make it into Glazer’s final script, the actor still found himself in the comedian’s crosshairs during the live broadcast.

During her opening monologue, Glazer quipped, “Tonight we’re celebrating the best movies and saving room for television. Yes, Wicked, Queer, Nightb-tch. These aren’t just words spoken by Ben Affleck after orgasm. Here are some of the incredible films nominated tonight.”

Despite the large format of the roast, Glazer claimed that her goal was never to hurt feelings. Talking to Entertainment tonight ahead of the awards ceremony, she clarified her comedic intentions.

“You won’t be crying about my jokes later,” she said. “Just be a cool person who laughs at himself. When I make a joke on you, I promise you it’s not meant to put you down or point out something about you that no one else has noticed.”
