Demi Moore won her first Golden Globe

Demi Moore won it first Golden Globe trophy Sunday for his role in the film “The Substance”.

When he took the stage to accept the award, Moore, 61, he admitted that he was “in shock”.

“I’ve been doing this for a long time, over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve won anything as an actor,” Moore told the audience at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

In “Substance”, Moore starred as an actress deemed too old to be desirable who is unceremoniously fired from a fitness show at age 50.

To further his career, he uses a miracle drug that promises to create a younger version of himself, played by Margaret Qualley, though it comes at a bloody and brutal price.

After catching her breath and explaining that she was “very humbled, very grateful,” Moore recalled a time in her career when a producer told her she was just a “popcorn actress.”

“That’s when I came to the realization that it wasn’t something I was allowed to do … it couldn’t be acknowledged,” Moore said.

“I bought and believed … it spoiled me too much from work.”

He added: “A few years ago I thought this was it. Maybe I was complete, I had done what I had to do. All of a sudden this crazy script landed on my desk. The universe told me I was ‘not done.’

Moore recalled how one woman told him to stop competing with others and that he would never “be enough,” but how important it was to know his worth if he “put down the marking stick.”
