Man Utd could sign Rashford & Zirkzee ‘monster’ upgrade
Manchester Unitedfirst semester of 2024/25 Premier League It has certainly been a forgettable campaign with the club languishing in the bottom half of the table.
Ruben Amorim he’s been brought in to try and fix the mess caused by the old boss Erik has Hagbut so far has not been able to provide an update in Dutch.
He just claimed seven points out of the possible 24 in the league, losing each of the last two games without scoring a goal.
That run has seen United score just 21 goals in 19 games, with only four teams in England’s top flight scoring fewer at this stage of the season, highlighting where some of the key issues lie.
However, despite the poor run of form, Amorim has not been confident Marcus Rashfordleaving him out of the squad for multiple outings before handing him a return to the matchday squad against Newcastle.
Marcus Rashford’s situation under Amorim at United
After marking three times in the first two games of the 39-year-old’s tenure at Old Trafford, Rashford looked like a player reborn and one who would play a big part in any success under new management.
However, fast-forwarding just one month, the 27-year-old has sat out four of the last five games, before returning to the substitutes’ bench in Monday’s defeat to the Magpies.
Rumors have swirled about a breaking up with the new managerbut Amorim has maintained his position that his decision to leave the Englishman out has always been tactical, opting to use the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Despite his five-match absence, the academy graduate remains with the club top scorer in the league so far – Make the manager’s decision even more puzzling if it was a tactical choice to consistently leave him out.
A January move looks a certainty for Rashford given recent events, a real shame given what he has achieved for his boyhood club, but it looks like they can sign an upgrade with the funds generated by his potential departure.

Man Utd could get Rashford and Zirkzee upgrade
The last few weeks the Red Devils have been linked to a movement to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhenwho is currently on loan to the Turkish Galatasaray from Naples.
The 26-year-old has been on fire during the first months of the season, scoring 12 goals in just 15 gameswith three of which will come in the Europa League.
Despite his temporary stay in the Süper Lig, he could be allowed to move once more in January due to a €75m (£62m) release clause. on his contract, with Old Trafford just one of the attacker’s potential destinations.
As a result of his stellar form, Osimhen has been tagged as a similar player via stats-run website FBref to the Manchester City star Erling Haaland – a real compliment given the Norwegian’s goal tally 49 goals scored during the calendar year of 2024.
When delving into his stats this season, the comparison is understandable as he produces plenty of similar stats to the City talisman, offering an upgrade to Rashford and Zirkzee if he moves away.
Zirkzee’s own future at Old Trafford is also up in the air now, having been replaced by Amorim in the 33rd minute against the Magpies on Monday with his run of sols. four goals in 27 outings just not good enough for the red devils.

Osimhen, who had previously been dubbed a “monster” from analyst Raj Chohan, may have scored fewer goals than Haaland so far, but has averaged a significantly better goals per 90 than the 24-year-old.
The loanee from Galatasaray has also done it achieved a better ratio of minutes per goalalthough he averaged a higher shots on goal per 90, highlighting his skill set and the danger he poses in the final third.
Both powerful strikers with a venomous shot in their armoury, the £62m release clause in their current contract may look like another big investment for the club given their recent transfer market failures, but the quality is evident which he possesses, without any doubt, giving Amorim an addition. firepower
As for Rashford, the club desperately need to snap him up in January while his stock is at its peak, with the Napoli talent the perfect player to fill any void left at the top end of the pitch.
