Edgerunners is getting a Blu-Ray and manga prequel
Studio Trigger’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a hit when it came out, and CD Projekt Red’s more than aware of how much people love him. Although we don’t know much about the franchise the next anime ventureat least there’s some good, more recent news for fans of the series to celebrate.
First, you know Edgerunners do you have manga No, really, that’s what it’s called Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Madness, and it’s a prequel, the first chapter of which was released Friday in “select magazines” in Japan, Poland and other territories. Written by CDPR Comics/Animation Head Bartorsz Sztybor and drawn by Asano, Madness is a prequel focusing on sister-brother duo Rebecca and Pilar before they join Maine’s team and… well, if you’ve seen the show, you know. Dark Horse is currently working on the English version and there is currently no way to read it in that language. The entire volume will be released sometime in 2025, but you can take a peek at its color cover below.
Don’t be mad that we kept it a secret 🤫 The first chapter of the official Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS manga is now in select languages, with the full volume coming out in 2025! 💥

If that wasn’t enough, Edgerunners pulls an Arcane and coming to Blu-Ray next year! It will currently be released in North America and Japan, along with Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. Currently, the Japanese edition is the only one with an exact date: May 28, 2025. But what is included on said Blu-Ray and when it will appear in other territories will be revealed in the coming months. Still, it’s a win: Edgerunners joins Arcane both Castlevania series like high-profile Netflix shows graced with a physical release. That’s a pretty big deal, especially since Netflix recently indicated it’s willing to get rid of interactive promotions or shows as Voltronwhich are not original but born on the platform.
