Glamorgan have sacked head coach Grant Bradburn with immediate effect following allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

Bradburn, who was appointed head coach on a three-year deal in January 2024, was recently accused of misconduct by the independent cricket regulator.

The club referred Bradburn to the independent body after receiving allegations of inappropriate behavior and is “confident that a fair and transparent process has been followed in this case”.

Mark Rhydderch-Roberts, chairman of Glamorgan Cricket, said: “At Glamorgan Cricket we put the welfare of our people first and are supporting those affected.

“We are incredibly proud of our track record in ensuring that everyone involved with the club feels respected, belongs and is treated fairly.”

Glamorgan Cricket says it has a zero tolerance policy towards discriminatory behavior of any kind.

Hamilton-born Bradburn was an off-spinner who played seven Tests and 11 one-day internationals for New Zealand between 1990 and 2001.

Bradburn coached New Zealand’s Northern Districts and Under-19s in his homeland before being appointed Scotland head coach in 2014.

He coached Scotland to a historic first win against England in an ODI in 2017 and had a brief spell as head coach of Pakistan in 2023 before joining Glamorgan on a three-year deal last January.

Bradburn led Glamorgan to One Day Cup success in September and a fifth-place finish in Division Two of the Vitality County Championship.
