Now the people hired to do crisis PR for Baldoni are doing crisis PR for themselves.

Abel said Lively’s attorneys “cherry-picked” to include in their case without important context and that “no ‘defamation’ was applied.”

“No negative press, no social battle plan was facilitated, although we were prepared for that, because it is our job to be prepared for any scenario.

“But we didn’t have to implement anything because the internet worked for us.”

Abel said the backlash against Lively happened naturally and he didn’t need their help.

Attorney Bryan Freedman, who represents Baldoni and his studio, as well as Abel and Nathan, echoed that.

He said Baldoni hired a crisis manager because of “numerous demands and threats” made by Lively, including “threats not to go to (show) filming, threats not to promote the film, and ultimately the death of the film if her demands were met. They didn’t meet.” .

He said the plan drawn up by Nathan’s firm “proved to be unnecessary, as audiences found Lively’s actions, interviews and marketing distasteful during the promotional tour and organically responded to what the media perceived as theirs”.

Overall, Freedman called Lively’s complaint “disgraceful” and filled with “absolutely false accusations.”
