Virtual Game Cards are Nintendo’s new way to share Switch Games digit
Nintendo Switch Firmware update 20.0.0 I just went live, allowing players to share games easier with other console owners. Virtual Game Cards is the new catch term for everything digital, which you can change from one console to the next, covering downloaded games, free software or even pieces of DLC (additional game content). This new update facilitates sharing your downloaded games with other people, although they should be close to you, so there is no sharing with friends on the Internet.
A new icon of the virtual gaming card menu
In front of Nintendo Switch 2Starting on June 5, this may be one of the latest updates to the original switch software before its successor is released.
By Tuesday, if you wanted to share a digital version of a Nintendo Switch game with a friend, it was not easy – you had to define one as a major switch and the other as a secondary. The main disadvantage here was that only the main user could play shared game when it is offline, and the secondary always had to be connected to the Internet to play.
But now Nintendo has a new digital gaming system. The sharing software is now represented by virtual games for games that ease some of this hassle by sharing full access to the game with the new user. Updating the new Switch firmware will give users the new icon of virtual games for games in their home menu. From there you can choose the game (or DLC) you want to share.

The Virtual Games Menu Menu
You have two options on how to share the game. The first is the load of another system that requires the second switch to be connected to your main one. This is similar to the original primary/secondary system where you had to set up your Nintendo account on the two devices to share between them.
The second option is the loan of a family group member and uses the family group that you may have created with an online family plan for Nintendo Switch. To do this, you need to complete the two switch consoles close to each other to connect them.
Borrowing an option for a family member member
There are some important restrictions to keep in mind when using the Family Group Member Loan option. The first is that virtual games for games can be borrowed up to 14 days, after which they will be automatically returned to the lending system. It also means that the original system will not have access to this game/DLC while relaxing. Finally, players can only give a borrower game card, up to three borrowers at a time, and the borrower can only take one game card at one time. So you can’t fill your switch with busy games by your family members.
14 -day limit for borrowers
It remains to be seen how useful this system will be compared to the previous version. Although this allows the rented games to be played offline, unlike before, it also does not allow many people to play at the same time a copy of the same game. This seems that Nintendo is preparing its console for the eventual startup of Switch 2, adding a healthier functionality to sharing the game.
