Meta topics open ads for global advertisers
Months after first Testing ads in selected marketsincluding the US, Met on Wednesday declared The fact that its Instagram thread app will now expand the ads of all advertisers around the world. Expansion will allow admissible advertisers to reach Topics over 320 million monthly active users and it will include access to Inventory To control the level of content sensitivity to which ads are executed.
The company says the new ads in the thread issue will be included by default for any new advertising campaigns that use either Advantage+ or Meta Hands. However, the advertisers of the last plan will have the opportunity to give up the emissions of the threads.
Meta notes that the ads themselves will only be delivered to selected markets at launch and will be expanded in more markets over time.

The expansion signals that Meta believes that the Threads community is already healthy enough to provide revenue and compete for the dollars of the advertiser compared to its best competitor, X. Moreover, Meta believes that its platform is more convenient for advertising, as three of the four users are already following at least one business in the application.
META CEO Mark Zuckerberg told investors about the company’s most call in January that it expects topics to reach more than 1 billion people over the next “several years”. He also noted that the network adds “more than 1 million registrations a day”.
However, the thread application itself does not grow entirely organically. Instead, he takes advantage of the network effects of Instagram -related, building an existing Instagram girlfriend when you get on new users. This has made the threads almost instantly function as an extension of the Instagram networks for users, where they can follow a similar set of friends, creators and brands as before.
This competitive advantage based on the possession and operation of some of the largest social networks in the world is something that Meta is now Protection in its antitrust process with the US Federal Committee. The process can ultimately lead to Meta forced to sell Instagram and WhatsApp if the government’s prosecutor’s office is successful.
To help expand the threads, Meta has borrowed concepts from emerging social networks such as Mastodon and Bluesky.
Like Mastodon, Meta integrates its application with the ActivityPub protocol, which connects threads to a wider, decentralized open net known as Fediverse. Although this integration has not yet completed, the threads can one day easily become the biggest service working in Fedever as a result of a dwarf 8+ million registered users of Mastodon and less than 1 million monthly assets.
