90 Day Fiancé star David Murphy has died after a battle with cancer
David Murphyformer star c 90 Day Fiancé: Up to 90 Days died on December 11, 2024. at the age of 66 after a battle with liver cancer.
His family announced his death via his Instagram account, saying:
“We are deeply saddened to announce that David Murphy of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away at his home on December 11, 2024 after having been in poor health for the past several years. He was 66 years old.”
David Murphy was a veteran, small business owner and software engineer. He recently retired from the Clark County Treasurer’s office in Nevada and also worked for H&R Block and IGT.
I was diagnosed with liver cancer a year ago, Murphy underwent 13 operations and was scheduled for another one before his death. In addition to liver cancer, he faced other health problems, including problems with his gallbladder, pancreas, and kidneys.
David Murphy rose to fame on Season 4 of the TLC reality series 90 Day Fiancé: Up to 90 dayswhere he continued his relationship with Lana, a woman he met on a Ukrainian dating site. He proposed to her during the show, but the couple eventually broke up.
In addition to appearing on television, Murphy was known for his deep love of cats. His family noted, “He always made an effort to adopt cats and give them a good, loving home,” adding that he often adopted cats from the Las Vegas Animal Foundation.
In a statement, his family said: “David will be greatly missed by his family, friends and fans” and asked for privacy during this difficult time. They also encouraged those wishing to honor his memory to donate to the Animal Foundation in his name.
David Murphy he is survived by two sisters and his beloved cat, Homer.
