166.80 km, Rs 22,864 crore: Cabinet announces 4-lane, greenfield, high-speed Shillong-Silchar corridor

The Economic Affairs Committee of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Naryilla Modi has approved the 6th place in the 4-gent green field.

The program will be performed in hybrid annuity, with a total capital value, Rs.22.864 Crore.

144.80 km away from the total length will be in Meghlla, and 22.00 km in Tami.

Greenfield’s proposed high-speed corridor aims to improve service level between Guwahati and Slukar traffic. It will significantly improve the connection between Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur and Asam Barack Walli region and from Guilty, reducing the journey and time. This development is expected to promote the effectiveness of the nation’s logistics.

The corridor will also strengthen the connection between the promotion of Asam and Meghlla, the promotion of economic development, including industrial growth in the Middle Ages.
