15 years ago Martin Scorses went full horror and scored one of the biggest hits rolled

“I just thought I love Gothic, let’s get a little fun. Let’s make Gothic.” These are the words of the author Dennis Lekhan, who say that he inspired him to write “Shutter Island”, his famous novel that would eventually be adapted to the screen in 2010 Martin Scarsez may be our greatest live director. On the way of Teddy and his partner Chuck (Mark Rufala) are revealing more and more intricate truths about the island, ending with the final shock opening of the film.

“I worked on some other own projects, and they were not ready,” Scarsz said, explaining how he got involved with the film in the shutters. “The script was sent to me. I certainly knew about Dennis Lekhan’s prose (…), but I knew nothing about the story. I started reading it around 10:30 at night. I needed to go to sleep because I had Get up the next day to do that -no early morning, but I found that I can’t put the scenario. “

By that time, the Scorez had already secured his heritage, and “went”, finally providing it as a very deserved best picture and the best director Oscar. “It is true that the film is significantly departing from the literal reality in the sense of how I or any other psychiatrist went to try to treat people who were cruel and mentally ill way, some metaphorically what happened in the minds of the main characters” .

“We were really lucky that Dr. James Giligan is a technical advisor,” Chases added to the same Featurette. “His book about violence is a classic. He was not only power, but also understood the nature of the story of history.”

Paramount Pictures distributed the movie and largely sold it, focusing on the fact that it was perverted acute sensations – one that had one of the most favorite actors of the cinema in its center and collaborated (again) with the master. This is a movie that was good, perhaps because it is more difficult to get a movie for adults in theaters these days, in a small part of the spread of the pandemic.

As additional evidence that the film’s profile grew for its original reception, HBO Once Plans to Make a “Father’s” series involving Scorses. It has never come true, but it talks about how it was more than simple today, and tomorrow left. Looking back, “the island of the shutter” is a good reminder that sometimes it takes a little time to really appreciate. The overall audience was certainly entertained at the time, as evidenced by a healthy fare, but may not feel that it received a simple respect for Dikaprio/Scarseze. This is just the character of the beast.

The “Zasovka Island” is also a reminder that there is a horror, and it was almost always a reliable crowd. Scarsez put his stamp on the genre in his own way, and he paid off. There is the reason that he was Nominated for a better Oscar director than any other live director. It is great that the whole thing started as a scenario he received during the preparation of other possible projects, pushing him to say, “Yes, let’s do it,” and turn it into a big blow. This is how good the Scorez is.

Will the Scores come back to horror or anything adjacent to horrors? Who knows.
