What to look for in the National People’s Congress

BBC’s Stephen McDonell explains that China’s annual National People’s Congress (NPC) started on Wednesday.

About 3,000 delegates from provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and armed forces are taking part in the week-round. The party leaders use it through indoor doors through already taken decisions.

Again, the meeting signals the priorities of the Chinese Communist Party for next year.

China’s slowdown economy is expected to be highest to be on the agenda of high-level technological and US President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
