“Our plan will make Britain a world leader. It will give the industry the foundation it needs and turbocharge the Change Plan. That means more jobs and investment in the UK, more money in people’s pockets and transformed public services.”
Vantage Data Centers plans to invest £12 billion in data center development across the UK, including one of Europe’s largest universities in Wales, creating more than 11,500 jobs.
IT infrastructure provider Kyndryl aims to establish a new technology hub in Liverpool and create up to 1,000 AI-related jobs over the next three years.
Nscale will invest $2.5 billion to strengthen UK data center infrastructure and build an AI data center in Loughton, Essex, by 2026.
To support the development of artificial intelligence, the government will create a national data library to securely unlock the value of public data.
