A Texas man has been arrested for allegedly sending sexually abusive messages to an Indiana Fever star. Caitlin Clark.

Michael Thomas Lewis, 55, was charged with sexual assault or threatening to kill. Fox 59 He informed about this with reference to court documents. The charge is a Class 5 felony.

Lewis allegedly sent sexually abusive messages to Clark through his X account. One message said he repeatedly drove around her home and encouraged her to “not go to the law yet.” He also talked about going to a Fever game and sitting behind the bench.

According to the station, authorities spoke with Lewis on Jan. 8 about the messages. She reportedly told authorities she was headed to Indianapolis for vacation and reduced the number of messages she sent to the WNBA sharpshooter.

Thomas told authorities the messages were not threatening and called it “fantasy-type stuff” and a “joke.”

According to the report, Clark alerted authorities about the messages and said she was afraid of the words being sent to her.

“It takes a lot of courage for women to come forward in these cases, so many don’t,” Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said via FOX 59. who deserve to live and work in Indy without the threat of sexual violence.”

Lewis’ arrest comes about a month after an Oregon man admitted his guilt Pursuing UConn Huskies women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers.

Robert Cole Parmalee, 40, was arrested in August and found wearing an engagement ring and underwear while walking near Bradley International Airport in Connecticut. She said she intends to marry the Bueckers.
